Australian DJ Gear / DJ Equipment Sellers
|
Rockaway is a Brisbane based vinyl retailer. They have over 12,000 new and used records for sale in their Springwood store.
Note that their website currently has about 10% of their stock listed, so be sure to drop in on them if you want to check out the full catalogue.

Martins DJ
Shop would have to be the friendliest record shop in Sydney but
there's much more to it than presentation. They have a great range
of tunes, they're really into the music themselves and can boast
some of the biggest name DJs in the country as staff members.
Martins DJ Shop is also
the go to place if you are looking for advice on which DJ gear to
buy. Back to top |
DMC DJ
is quite a slick looking website. I prefer low prices and easy to
use web sites but its another alternative.
dmc lighting and sound is
recognised as one of Australia’s leading entertainment companies.
dmc have been at the forefront of technology in dj services, event
production, club installation and laser technology for over a
decade. Click here for more. Back to top |
Light
Sounds is probably the biggest retailer of DJ gear. They are
moving towards being a lighting specialist these days but they are
still a reliable source for DJ gear and DJ training. Within the DJ
gear section they seem to have some relationship with American Audio
products but also sell the other major brands.

Musician's Warehouse stocks a reasonable range of DJ gear. They
are primarily a seller of other musical instruments but do have
slightly overpriced DJ gear available online.

DJ Basement
based in Melbourne. A very plain web site with very overprices
Technics 1200 / 1210 decks. Have a look if you can be bothered. The
Basement Group, 3/61 Derham Sreet, Port Melbourne VIC 3207
Australia. Click here for more. Back to top |
DJ Boot Camp
is a fairly poorly presented web site primarily aimed at training
DJs / running DJ courses. At least they seem to have finally
abandoned "The Sarge" which will certainly go down in history as the
worst ad gimmick ever. Despite this they do include a second hand
store called
DJ
Gear Liquidators, Level 2 / 373 Pitt street 02 9267-4744 open
Tues – Sat 12noon to 6pm.

Spank Records 395 Bourke Street, Darlinghurst, NSW 2010,
Australia.
Click here for more. This is a slick web site that loads fast
and is easy to use. May not have larger items in stock.
Spank Records is located in Darlinghurst, just off Taylor Square
and Oxford Street. There are parking spaces on our block, though you
may have more luck going down Bourke Street a little further towards
Surry Hills where there are more spaces and you can park free for 2
hours. Buses run all along Oxford Street, if you get off at Taylor
Square we are just 1 minute away. If you travel by train, get off at
Central Station and it's about a 10-15 minute walk.

Billy
Hyde Music has an online store that includes DJ equipment.
Whilst the catalogue is very poorly laid out, at the time of
writing, Billy Hydes does have the cheapest price that TFW can find
for Technics 1200 decks.
